Single Review: Lady Antebellum’s ‘Heart Break’ – Laura K.

January saw Lady Antebellum burst back onto the music scene with their incredible jazz-infused ‘You Look Good’ which was the multi-Grammy award winning trio’s first single in two-years. The track has been a massive success and the official music video will be premiering this weekend as part of the CMT Hot 20.
But moving away from their comeback release, Lady A have just released their brand new single-the title track off their upcoming album ‘Heart Break’ which will be released June 9th. The track shows another side to the group’s style and is a departure from the horn based ‘You Look Good’.
There is a pop element to the country track but manages to stay on the right side of country to keep their fanbase very happy. It’s got an extremely catchy chorus and is a play on the word heartbreak. As the ‘Heart Break’ they are referring to is not that of having your heart broken but instead is about needing to take a break from something. In this case it’s about staying single for the summer instead of boomeranging between relationships.
It’s a really fun, up-beat song and one that will go down extremely well on tour and will no doubt get the audience out of their seats and dancing. ‘Heart Break’ is another fantastic Lady Antebellum release and excites us even more for their new LP.
RATING: 5/5.
