Delighted to feature Lexie Green for the first time today with the release of her new E.P. ‘Indigo Blue’. Lexie is an Americana influenced songwriter from the Fenlands of Cambridgeshire and perform around England with her band of friends, The Indigo Blue, who the EP is named after. Country fans might have seen Lexie Green perform at The Long Road Festival recently for Bob Harris on the BBC Introducing takeover on The Front Porch.
The E.P. features six tracks and is a fantastic showcase for Lexie. Straight from the start you’ll realise just how powerful Lexie’s vocals are, as she belts out the ending to ‘I Wanna Dance’, while she is equally at home with the slower and more soulful numbers such as ‘Good Days’ and ‘Needle in a Haystack’ – both of these tracks you’ll immerse yourself in. ‘5 Miles from Memphis’ and ‘Gasoline It’ are each country tracks with added depth, while the final track ‘You and I’ starts with a slightly ‘folk’ feel and builds into a simply gorgeous love song.
‘Indigo Blue’ is a wonderful listen from start to finish – a must listen for all country fans.
