Maren Morris Releases New Single ‘Girl’ and a 40 Date World Tour!

GRAMMY award winning artist Maren Morris has set the scene for her forthcoming sophomore album with the release of the brilliant new track ‘Girl’. The new release was written by Maren alongside songwriter Sarah Aarons (“The Middle” – Zedd/Maren/Grey) with the production prowess of fellow GRAMMY award winning songwriter and producer Greg Kurstin (Adele, Foo Fighters).

The launch of the new single comes almost three years to the day of her first single and GRAMMY award winning single “My Church” and sets the scene for the follow-up release to her critically acclaimed major label debut ‘Hero’.

The track has a strong pop influence coupled beautifully with a punchy indie-rock guitar and Maren’s beautiful vocals. Add a knack for unapologetically honest songwriting and Sarah Aarons ability to create a hit and you have the perfect introduction to Maren’s new album.

The message of the track is one of equality which fits perfectly with the Belles and Gals mission statement. Maren states to Rolling Stone that “[‘Girl’] speaks to a time where every woman that is in music, or not even in music, is dealing with issues that face women. We’re so overly well aware of what we’re up against, it’s almost like we’re sick of hearing it and I just want to look to the future and stop being in the present.”

To coincide with the release of the new track, Maren also released details of a 40 date world tour titled “Girl: The World Tour”. The tour stops at a number of iconic venues including London’s Royal Albert Hall and Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. Heading along on tour with Maren on selected dates are Cassadee Pope and Raelynn.
