Road to C2C Festival #34 – Ashley McBryde

Any conversation about the ‘next breakout artist’ in country music is sure to see the name Ashley McBryde pop up. We at Belles and Gals nominated Ashley McBryde in the ‘Newcomer of the Year’ category in our annual awards in 2017, while Rolling Stone Magazine listed the artist of one of ‘Ten Country Artists You Need to Know’. The magazine also went on to describe Ashley as ‘An Arkansas red-clay badass, with the swagger of Hank Jr. and the songwriting of Miranda Lambert’, while also calling her sound ‘no bullshit country’.

‘A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega’ (above) is a fine example of the brilliant talent of Ashley McBryde, a song about having the worst day possible and then flipping it on it’s head and seeing the light. Ashley McBryde releases her debut album ‘Girl Goin’ Nowhere’ on March 30, 2018.

Catch Ashley McBryde across four different stages on Saturday and the Bluebird Cafe at C2C on Sunday.
