Emma Stevens is a wonderful British Country music talent whose music will transport you. The multi skilled instrumentalist writes heartfelt lyrics and her vocal tone is beautiful.
Next year she will embark on her 2019 The Atoms tour of the UK. The seven date headlining run of dates will see her performing across the country in cities such as Cardiff, Manchester, London and more.
Here we speak exclusively to Emma Stevens to discuss the tour:
Earlier this year you supported Sarah Darling on her UK tour, how does it feel to now be announcing your own headlining tour?
Very excited! This will be my sixth headline tour and they keep getting better and better each year! Such fabulous supporters come back and it’s lovely to get to know them over the years.
Do you feel there is a big difference between headlining your own tour to being a support act?
I give the same performance regardless of whether I’m supporting or headlining. With headlining I feel I’m able to give just a little more with the story telling though, and obviously I bring my band!
The tour stops off in a number of cities across the UK, which place are you most excited about performing live in?
Every city has something beautiful to offer. I love Bath – I’ve never played there before. I always have fun in Scotland (great crowd!) and The Rec Rooms in Horsham is a brilliant new venue quite close to me! It’ll be great!
You have announced several support acts for different dates, will you have a different warm up act every night?
That’s the plan! There is so much talent out there and I want to get as much of it heard as I can!
What’s your favourite and least favourite thing about being on the road?
Favourite thing is performing and meeting my fans after the shows. Least favourite thing is sitting in the car for hours (I am quite an active person!) and the lack of sleep!.
The tour kicks off next May, can we expect an album from you before then?
I’m releasing “Atoms” through PledgeMusic and yes it’ll be available on tour!
What can fans expect from your live shows?
Joy, positivity, stories that will transport them, lots of instruments, tear jerkers and hugs.
Do you have any pre stage rituals?
I like to warm up my voice, and tune my instruments – but other than that not really. Just have fun!
Along with headlining your own tour, what else can we expect from you in 2019?
I’ll be touring China in April. Very excited!
