Sarah Darling Announced as 2019 SummerTyne Americana Festival Headliner

Fresh from releasing her stunning new single ‘A Little Bit Of Rain’, Sarah Darling has been announced as the headliner for this year’s SummerTyne Americana Festival.

The exciting news broke via social media yesterday (May 10th) just hours after the latest single to be lifted off the Iowa native’s forthcoming, eagerly anticipated new studio album ‘Wonderland‘ officially dropped. ‘A Little Bit Of Rain’ is the fourth track to be shared from the record which will be released independently by Darling on June 7th.

Speaking about the track, Sarah says:  “This is the type of song that makes me so drawn to what country music represents. It’s so honest and true. This is what could be if something got a little too out of control and has so many life lessons run through it.”

The news that Sarah Darling will be headlining the 2019 SummerTyne Americana Festival at the Sage Gateshead will delight fans in the North East who missed out seeing the Nashville based Country superstar during her headlining tour of the UK back in March.

Along with headlining the SummerTyne Festival, the adopted Brit will also be delighting her ever growing British fanbase throughout the Summer months with a string of festival dates already pencilled in to her increasingly busy diary.

Her full list of upcoming UK dates so far are as follows:

Sat 13th July – FSA Festival, Nottingham

Sun 21st July – SummerTyne Festival, Newcastle

Sat 27th July – Nashville Meets London

Sun 4th August – Cambridge Folk Festival

Fri 13th September – British Country Music Festival, Blackpool

The run of live gigs will come hot on the heels of the ‘Wonderland’ record which was written, produced and recorded across England and Wales. Talking about that experience, Darling says: “The whole concept of ‘Wonderland’ was to explore a brand new world artistically and to stretch my boundaries as a writer and performer. I would walk into a co-writing session having never met the person before and leave feeling inspired. It’s a true reflection of me and the current ride I’m on, which is incredibly exciting. Music is about connection and I’m so proud to share this trans-Atlantic collaboration. It’s the greatest adventure of my life to date! I hope everyone gets to experience the magic I experienced whilst recording the record. I never imagined in a million years that I’d be recording an album in London one minute, and in the middle of the Welsh countryside the next!”
