Could we be any bigger fans of Olivia Lane? Olivia recently played a Belles and Gals promoted headline show in the UK and we’ve followed the career of the Nashville based artist closely since we started, first chatting to Olivia at the start of 2017! Yesterday we were delighted to see Olivia make a double announcement – the immediate release of her new single ‘So Good It Hurts’ and the announcement of her upcoming EP ‘The One’ – due out August 9th 2019 (pre-order here).
Olivia Lane on ‘So Good It Hurts’ :
“This song is about being in a fantastic relationship for the last few years. Nobody cheated or didn’t text back, it’s simply about glorifying a great man and some good love. I want to be a person and artist who always celebrates love, especially self love. My upcoming EP explores my self love journey and the man that I fell in love with along the way.”
This song comes hot on the heels of Olivia’s ‘Hey 3AM’ and is another fine example of an artist at the top of their game. ‘So Good It Hurts’ is one of those songs that puts paid to the (tired) adage that country songs are miserable – this is feel good, upbeat and a turn-it-up tune.
