An Essex Country Festival Is Helping Unsigned Artists Record Music

Are you an unsigned singer/songwriter looking to record your own music?

Dixie Fields, taking place in Chelmsford next week (12-14th July), has a great opportunity for songwriters who will be attending the event.

The festival will feature a mobile recording studio which will give musicians a 15-minute slot to record their original work. This will be theirs to keep as a download, and will be entered into a competition to win a chance to sing on stage next year!

The pop-up studio is organised and run by Ian Hall and colleagues at Manley Hall Music Group (MHMG). It will be located in the acoustic arena on the Saturday.

Stevie O’Connor, who is managed by MHMG will be on hand to offer advice to artists taking part. Two guitars and a Cajon will also be available to use during the session.

The event will start at 11:30am on July 13th. One session costs just £5 and is available to those holding a valid ticket to the festival. Musicians who fill out a form on the MHMG website are given priority on the day.

Belles and Gals Founder Nick Cantwell will also be appearing on a songwriter’s panel (10am Saturday 13th), alongside artists including Megan O’Neill and Jackson Michelson.

Here at Belles and Gals we think this is a fantastic chance for singer/songwriters to share their work – and look forward to seeing it come to life at the festival!
