6 months on from the release of their UK all genre top-ten album ‘Restless Minds’, British record makers Ward Thomas have returned to the recording studio to start work on their fourth LP. The new CD will be their third studio release via major label Sony Music following their record-breaking 2016 sophomore ‘Cartwheels’ and this year’s crossover hit.
The new LP will be their fourth studio album overall as in 2014 the vocal harmony duo consisting of Hampshire twin sisters Catherine and Lizzy released their independent debut offering ‘From Where We Stand’ which was the catalyst of their major chart success.
The 25-year-old girls shared on social media today (Wednesday, August 21st) that they had returned to Rak Studios in London to officially start laying down tracks for the forthcoming body of work. Ward Thomas have also been writing with Jessica Sharman and Rebekah Powell once again.
Along with heading back to the recording studio, the country music hitmakers who were this year awarded the Prestigious CMA Jeff Walker Global Artist Award for their wonderful contribution to the international appeal of UK country also confirmed to BBC Radio 2 earlier this month that they will be releasing new tour dates for the New Year very soon.
The new run of dates will follow the hugely impressive Restless Minds tour which took place between February and April this year and was their biggest headline tour to date. The latest showcase will see them performing hits from the previous records and also debuting new songs off their upcoming fourth release.
It’s always an exciting time within the UK country music scene when Ward Thomas share new music so we cannot wait for 2020 to hear all the wonderful new songs Catherine and Lizzy have been hard at work creating this summer. In the meantime we have the absolutely beautiful ‘Breathe In’ to play on a loop:
