One of the most respected singer/songwriters working out of Nashville has to be Gretchen Peters. Inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2014 she has had songs recorded by the likes of Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood and Shania Twain and has released seven studio albums of her own, and we are fortunate that she has a loyal fanbase here in the UK and tours here frequently.
This Thursday, 5th September, sees Gretchen release a rarity in the form of a single which is being brought out on California label Need To Know Music. Consisting of two new, unreleased songs “The Last Day of The Year” b/w “In Constanza’s Kitchen”, this limited edition release of 500 copies will be available on white opaque vinyl, with artwork by her friend and self-taught Memphis artist/musician Lamar Sorrento. The songs will also be available digitally for downloading and streaming ( i-tunes pre order available now) while physical copies can be ordered at gretchenpeters.com ( if you are in UK/Europe ) or at needtoknowmusic.com ( for US delivery ).
