2020 hasn’t exactly been the best year for the music industry so far but that doesn’t mean we aren’t being treated to amazing new releases from our favourite artists despite the lack of live gigs across the globe due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
One of our most listened to singer/songwriters; Sarah Darling will keep our morale high this weekend as we continue to self-isolate and social distance in a bid to slow the spread of the virus. Today, (Friday, March 20th) she has shared her brand new Campfire Sessions release in the form of the truly quite fitting ballad ‘Bring On The Rain’.
The release is a gorgeous, stripped back acoustic rendition of the Jo Dee Messina and Tim McGraw classic and her version is truly spine-tingling. Speaking about the timely release, Sarah Darling says: “I’m reminded more than ever how music provides comfort, joy, and peace in times of uneasiness. It can be a brief escape from all those worries and troubles. I’m feeling extremely grateful to release a new song from Campfire Sessions!.
Bring On The Rain is a song I’ve loved for a very long time. It’s recorded originally by artist Jo Dee Messina and Tim McGraw. It’s about choosing empowerment, and believing you won’t be kept down. Right now we are facing a lot together, and I’ve never been more grateful to call you all my fans. I’m reminded of my last year travels and getting to see some of you on the road. I feel incredibly blessed for my experiences in life. I look forward to being able to see you again very soon. In the meantime, I hope music does a little bit of healing, and I’ll keep making it for you. “
And in a further bid to raise our spirits the Iowa native, Nashville based vocalist will host a full-length Facebook Live concert where she will also be joined by good friends and fellow musicians Tyler Flowers, and Cheyenne Medders, there will also be a virtual tip jar for fans who are able to donate in these trying times for artists across the world,
Talking about the upcoming virtual gig, Sarah stated: “I know that so many live events have been cancelled, and I wanted to bring all of you together for a little joy. Just because we are staying at home doesn’t mean the music stops. Let’s help build each other up!”
UK fans will be able to tune into the Facebook stream from 8pm on Saturday, March 21st.
