At 58, the music legend graces the cover of Harper’s Bazaar’s September edition, adorned with a stunning Bulgari choker. The necklace features a 49-carat cushion-cut tanzanite gem, its rich blue hue enhanced by over 4 carats of sparkling diamonds.
This photoshoot heralds her much-awaited comeback to live performances after a six-year hiatus, a period marked by her struggle with the severe effects of stiff person syndrome. She is set to begin a five-week series of concerts at Paris La Défense Arena starting September 12.
Exquisite Outfits and Iconic Settings
In the feature, Dion is seen wearing an 18-karat pink gold Bulgari Tubogas necklace, embedded with lapis lazuli and turquoise, paired with a maroon taffeta jacket by Saint Laurent designed by Anthony Vaccarello, featuring a striking oversized black shearling collar draped off her shoulder, as confirmed by the brand to Page Six Style.
Throughout the photoshoot, Dion showcases a majestic look in a deep emerald cape by Sarah Burton for Givenchy, and later, she reclines in the back of a limousine, clad in a shimmering gold Gucci gown, her eyes hidden behind large Emmanuelle Khanh x Tracee Ellis Ross sunglasses.
Photographer Robin Galiegue also captures the Québécois superstar posing on a Las Vegas rooftop in a Saint Laurent latex-coated lace bodysuit, jacket, and skirt, complemented by another gleaming Bulgari Tubogas necklace.
The Las Vegas setting is poignant, as Dion’s residencies at Caesars Palace are the most lucrative in history, with her “A New Day…” show, which spanned from 2003 to 2007 across over 700 performances, maintaining the record for the highest-grossing to this day.
Dion announced her Paris performances on her 58th birthday in March, via a video message to her fans recorded under the Eiffel Tower.
“It’s been so long, I want to give them something special to show how much I’ve missed them,” Dion expressed about her fans.
She explains that her connection with her audience is why she decided to produce the 2024 documentary “I Am: Céline Dion,” and remains transparent about her personal experiences. “I’m honest, and it’s not always beautiful,” she admitted. “Sometimes it’s joyful, sometimes it’s sorrowful, but that’s life.”
Her chief wardrobe and creative advisor, Annie Horth, has hinted at a spectacular show in Paris, reflective of Dion’s dynamic range. “From intimate and romantic moments to powerful vocal displays, we are crafting a show that navigates all these aspects,” Horth explained.
Discussing her approach to this new chapter, the “My Heart Will Go On” singer shared her philosophy of living in the moment: “Instead of questioning life, can you live life? So I’m living my life, girl. I’m truly embracing life,” Dion declared.
