Tanya Reynolds as Coach Alice Chilton
At the helm of AFC Richmond’s women’s team is Coach Alice Chilton, portrayed by Tanya Reynolds. As highlighted in our Season 4 review, Alice is a dedicated and capable assistant coach who is understandably wary of the overly optimistic new guy filling her dream role. Alice’s introverted, resolute demeanor, and her ability to maintain professionalism in the face of Ted’s relentless humor and charm, provide a fresh comedic element. It’s hinted that Alice’s stoic exterior masks deeper, personal issues.
The 34-year-old British actress, a graduate of the Oxford School of Drama, has over 30 film and TV credits, including Emma, The Other Bennet Sister, The Decameron, Breeders, For Love or Money, Outlander, and Sex Education, among others. She is also recognized for her stage performances in productions such as 1536, The Seagull, White Rabbit, Red Rabbit, and A Mirror.
