Karen Jonas – Wasting Time

I came across Karen Jonas for the first time just last week and the first thing I noticed was that her debut album was simply called ‘Country Songs’. The title might be understated, but there is nothing understated about her talent – Karen Jonas one of those artists that stands out immediately.

Karen’s press release states – “Born, raised, and recorded in the heart of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Karen Jonas’s Country Songs is a celebration of music made outside the machine – of songs written in her living room, captured live in the studio just down the street, and sent out to see where it stands in the big, wide world”.

I’ve only listened to the album once , but I won’t give you my first impressions yet – I already know that this is going to be a big part of my listening in 2017, so I’ll give you a full album review in the coming weeks.
