Former The Saturdays pop star turned country singer Una Healy has only just launched her solo career with the sublime debut single ‘Stay My Love’ featuring Nashville and Humans actor Sam Palladio, but the Irish rising star of country already has her eyes set on breaking America.
Speaking to S Magazine about the release of her eagerly anticipated first album ‘The Waiting Game’ which drops on the 10th of February, Una confirmed that there is the possibility of her performing at the prestigious Grand Ole Opry sometime this year.
She said to the magazine which is free in the Sunday Express: “I’d love to make it in the States. I heard there’s a chance that we might get to perform at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. It’d be great to do some shows there and see what happens”.
If her and her duet partner Sam Palladio (who has performed at the venue many times already) do sing at the Grand Ole Opry, then it would be quite an achievement for Una Healy, and a huge boost to British music in general.
