Introducing the Cookeo Infinity, the latest addition to the lineup. What sets it apart from its predecessors?

The Cookeo Infinity is Moulinex’s newest creation. Previous versions already boasted a comprehensive set of features including steam cooking, pressure cooking, and slow cooking. However, as culinary needs evolve, kitchen counter space quickly becomes premium with the addition of gadgets like steamers, blenders, toasters, and air fryers. With the new model, Moulinex aims to deliver a versatile appliance that can adapt to any scenario—from a quick 15-minute meal to a leisurely family weekend dinner. The device is marketed as a “20-in-1,” showcasing the diverse cooking modes it now offers.

Having used a previous version of the Cookeo, I had the opportunity to test the new model. Two features particularly caught my eye. The first is the integrated air fryer function in the lid, eliminating the need for a separate attachment. This feature expands the device’s capabilities beyond stews to include dishes like casseroles, roasts, and breaded preparations, all while reducing the need for excess oil. After several trials, I can affirm that the results are on par with those from a dedicated air fryer.

The other notable upgrade is the removable stirring paddle at the bottom of the pot. It enables automatic stirring, allowing some dishes to cook without supervision. This feature brings the Cookeo in line with other kitchen robots that include this function, such as the Thermomix or Monsieur Cuisine. It’s especially appreciated when you want to whip up a risotto on a lazy evening with minimal effort.

As for ease of use, the device is user-friendly and guides you step-by-step through the process, either on the screen or via a connected app, just like before. Even those who are not tech-savvy should find it easy to manage. For those in a hurry, it’s possible to combine cooking modes (steam + air fryer, for example) and cook a complete meal in one go. The app offers a wide range of recipes, but be aware: the preparation times listed do not account for the preheating phase, which can add about ten minutes to the cooking time.

With the variety of cooking modes available, you can enjoy creating all kinds of homemade dishes: yogurts, jams, brioche… I ventured into making homemade bread. After kneading the dough by hand, I used the dough rising function, which ensures optimal rising in the pot under the right temperature and humidity. The baking was quite fast, and the results were very satisfying. I still need to find the perfect recipe, but these initial attempts were quite promising.

Ultimately, I find that, like with previous versions, the feature I use most often is the pressure cooking mode, which has made the Cookeo a favorite among kitchen appliances. It’s particularly handy for making dishes like gratin dauphinois: the potatoes are cooked under pressure (saving a significant amount of time), and then browned in the same device. Unfortunately, we still haven’t found a way to replace our hands for peeling and slicing potatoes! Jokes aside, my overall experience with this new Cookeo has been positive—the promise of versatility is fulfilled.

So, should you switch to the Cookeo Infinity? If you already own a Cookeo and an air fryer, perhaps not. But if you’re looking for a multi-functional appliance, it’s a compelling option. In terms of budget, the 20-in-1 model is priced at 449.99 euros.

However, a few points to consider include: the lack of an integrated scale (as some users have pointed out in reviews), basket handles that detach easily (which can make handling less pleasant, especially when the dish is hot), and a fairly large size. This last point could make it tricky to fit under high cabinets, especially when opening the lid, and you must also consider the steam it emits during pressure cooking.

Despite these minor drawbacks, its numerous functions, which can replace several other devices, might still earn it a prime spot on your kitchen counter. From the complete novice, who is guided step by step, to the seasoned cook who prefers manual control, there’s something for everyone.
