“The idea was to develop a lip product that could give lips the same color burst as the Soft Pinch Liquid Blush does for cheeks,” Gomez explained to Elle in 2023. She noted that it took “two years to perfect due to its unique texture.”

While the celebrity entrepreneur has stated that the vibrant pink shade named Happy is her preferred choice, it’s likely that Liu opted for a richer shade such as Honesty or Delight.

Although the specific shade wasn’t confirmed by the brand, Rare Beauty’s official Instagram account reposted images of Liu’s iconic moment, praising her with a message, “She’s just like me fr.”
