The musician didn’t hold back when discussing her thoughts on the latest developments from “Summer House,” particularly concerning the surprising relationship between Amanda Batula and West Wilson that was kept hidden from their ex-partners, Ciara Miller and Kyle Cooke.
Haim showcased her support by displaying a sparkly T-shirt she crafted herself, proudly featuring the phrase “Team Ciara!”
Haim’s Strong Feelings on the Matter
“I feel very strongly about this,” she declared.
Describing the situation, Haim recounted, “We saw Ciara open up to Amanda about her feelings towards West, and throughout the season, it seemed like they were rekindling their romance. I really thought they were on the path to getting back together.”
Haim criticized the betrayal, emphasizing the close friendship between Batula and Miller. “You just don’t do that to your girl, to your best friend,” she expressed.
She concluded her thoughts with a sentiment likely shared by many fans of the show, saying, “I just hope, really hope, that they took the time to sit down and talk to her before this all blew up,” adding, “And I’m really hoping that it was all caught on camera.”
Official Response from Batula and Wilson
In a surprising joint statement released after persistent rumors, Batula and Wilson explained, “It was never our intention to purposefully conceal anything. The intricate dynamics of our relationships and the public scrutiny from being on a reality TV show required us to take some time privately to figure things out before addressing the situation publicly.”
They continued, “We understand this situation affects more than just us and never meant for our actions to cause harm or appear thoughtless.”
Reactions from the Public and Co-Stars
While Miller has not publicly commented on the unfolding events, she was visibly upset, shedding tears when Batula and Wilson went public with their relationship on Instagram last Tuesday. Following the announcement, she unfollowed the new couple on social media.
Support for Miller hasn’t been scarce. Notable personalities and fellow stars from Bravo have voiced their backing. Dolores Catania, from “Traitors,” told Page Six she supports Miller, and Jon Hamm also expressed his support during an earlier episode of “WWHL.”
According to an exclusive by Page Six, the reaction among the “Summer House” cast ranged from anger to disappointment regarding Batula and Wilson’s actions.
