In a delightful blend of classic and contemporary Brooklyn — now a favored spot for Hollywood elites — we learned that famed actors and Brooklyn’s own power duo, Bobby Cannavale and Rose Byrne, hosted a stoop sale in front of their brownstone home yesterday.

An onlooker described the event as a “quintessential stoop sale,” with Cannavale (originally from New Jersey, though he might as well be a Brooklynite) overseeing the activities, while his Australian-born partner, Byrne, dropped in occasionally.

An attendee who managed to snag a few items remained secretive about the specifics of the offerings, humorously noting they didn’t want to purchase too much from the celebrities to avoid appearing “like a weirdo.”

Observers noted Cannavale managed transactions from behind a Fisher-Price toy cash register, as the couple’s children assisted with the sale, and Byrne “made an appearance” during the event.

It was reported that recently Oscar-nominated Byrne and Cannavale acquired a townhouse in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, for $2.2 million back in 2015. They completely renovated the 2,700-square-foot property, originally constructed in 1899, as featured in Architectural Digest.

Sources say they have since relocated to another residence in the vicinity.

Other celebrities residing in Brooklyn include Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz, Matt Damon, Paul Rudd, Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard, among others.

In a related note on celebrity stoop sales, Julia Fox reportedly sold hundreds of high-end items on Saturday from her Tribeca closet as part of an eBay stoop sale campaign.
