Taylor Swift’s BFF Says Goodbye as Mecole Hardman Trades Chiefs for Packers

Chariah Gordon is not quite prepared for this change.

Mecole Hardman’s betrothed expressed her heartfelt goodbyes to Taylor Swift and fellow Kansas City Chiefs significant others following the NFL player’s trade to the Green Bay Packers.

On her Instagram Story on Tuesday, Gordon displayed a photo montage, prominently featuring Swift in three of the images.

“Really going to miss you all,” she wrote over the post, punctuated with crying and broken heart emojis.

In one touching photo, Gordon, 30, received a warm embrace from Swift, 35. Another picture captured the pop icon whispering to her close friend in a private box at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.

A third photo with Swift celebrated a Chiefs’ victory over the New Orleans Saints in October 2024.

The news that Hardman, a Chiefs player since 2019, would be relocating to the Wisconsin-based team broke on the same Tuesday.

Gordon has been in a relationship with the 27-year-old athlete since 2021, and the couple got engaged three years later, following the birth of their son, Three. They also have a daughter together.

Last year, when Hardman renewed his contract with the Chiefs, Swift shared her excitement with capitalized comments during an Instagram Live session.

“WE GET ANOTHER YEAR OF MECOLE,” she celebrated in June 2024, accompanied by a crown emoji.

Meanwhile, Swift’s significant other, Travis Kelce, has played as a tight end for the Chiefs since entering the NFL in 2013.

In February, the reality TV series “Catching Kelce” star dispelled rumors of retirement by confirming he would return for his 13th season with the team, despite a heart-wrenching Super Bowl defeat.

Kelce and Swift have been romantically linked since the summer of 2023.

The 14-time Grammy winner has become a regular fixture at her boyfriend’s games and on Gordon’s social media, even featuring in a November 2024 snapshot with Hardman and Gordon’s young daughter.

That same month, Gordon spoke highly of Swift in an interview with Glamour, describing her as “super, super sweet” and recalling their first meeting at Kelce’s house.

“Since then we’ve become really close. I call her my sis. That’s my sis,” she shared.
