His wife, Luciana, announced his passing on February 16 via a Facebook post.
“We bid farewell to my beloved husband, a treasured friend, and one of the most remarkable actors of our era yesterday,” she shared. While the cause of death wasn’t disclosed, Luciana mentioned, “Bob left us peacefully at home, surrounded by love and warmth.”
Duvall was celebrated for his skill to seamlessly blend into a variety of roles, including memorable performances in “The Godfather,” “Apocalypse Now,” and “Network.” Over his illustrious career, he received seven Academy Award nominations and secured a win for his role in “The Great Santini.”
