Introducing Jessie G

One of the first artists to re-ignite my passion for country music after being side tracked for quite a while was Gretchen Wilson, so when I found out she was working with a new female country artist I was naturally keen to find out more!
The young lady in question is Jessie G (which stands for Goergen) who hails from Brookings, Oregon where she worked in the family fishing business to help fund her true passion for making music. After graduating from college she entered “Battle of the Bands” in 2013, performing in front of Gretchen who immediately fell under the spell of her vocal ability. A blossoming friendship between the two led Jessie to relocate to Nashville in 2014 to continue to hone her sound and cowrite with some of the city’s finest songwriters, resulting in her releasing her first single “ Drop A Line” which was produced by Gretchen and cleverly references her nautical background

She has since been signed to Gretchen’s “Redneck Records” and her debut album ( also produced by Gretchen) will be released on the label in the near future, with the single “ Army Ranger “ out today! And totally coincidentally it transpires that this song is a collaboration with Belles and Gals contributor Melanie Meriney, who’s “Notes From Nashville” series provides such a fascinating insight into making it in the music business in the city.
Jessie is not only ready to show the world what she is made of through her recorded work but will be hitting the road with Gretchen Stateside throughout the Summer, tour dates and details of how to listen to and download “ Army Ranger” can all be found here http://jessiegmusic.com/
Oh and look out for an interview with Jessie coming soon to Belles and Gals……I’m excited to discover more about this rising star!
