Your Voice, Your Choice #48 – Queeva
Today we continue with our popular “Your Voice, Your Choice” feature on Belles and Gals, the 48th edition of the feature! We introduce one of our favourite songs from a country artist and then the artist tells us in turn about a song that has inspired them and has a special place in their heart. Today we feature up and coming US artist Queeva!
Queeva, at just 14 years old, is already making great waves with her infectious single ‘Live Like a Song’, a song about spreading positivity and following your dreams. We asked Queeva about the song (featured above):
“When we wrote “Live Like a Song,” I wanted to write a song that talked about what music means to me and how it’s a universal language for everyone. These days there are so many people who feel alone, especially my age, and I just wanted to remind them that they are never alone; music is always something that is there for them to turn to whenever they are feeling down. Music is something that I know I can always turn to. I was inspired to share that message with everyone because in my opinion it is very important to remember that. I chose this song as my single because I felt like it was very unique and I love it because it has such a cool message and an awesome melody.”
Queeva has chosen ‘My Church’ as her choice.
‘“My Church” by Maren Morris is probably one of my all time favorite songs because it has such a cool melody in it that is very catchy. Maren Morris is also one of my biggest inspirations at the moment. She is super talented, and her songs never get old. Maren Morris not only inspires me musically but also vocally because she has such great range and a beautiful tone in her voice.’
