Annie Rost – Wrong Kinda Love

Delighted to feature Texas based Annie Rost again today, with her great new single ‘Wrong Kinda Love’, a song which appears on Annie’s debut ‘Wild Heart’ album. Everybody knows someone who is essentially selfish and will only do things when it benefits them, and Annie Rost delivers them a perfect message! This is a fine country track, where Annie’s vocals excel once again.

I asked Annie all about the song.

Annie Rost: ‘I was fortunate to engage Zac Maloy as producer of 5 of the songs on the “Wild Heart” CD. He is also a songwriter and sent me a number of rough demos of songs he has written and co-written with and for other artists.

I picked songs that I could relate to. “Wrong Kinda Love” fit the bill. It’s a song about the wrong kind of love, love of yourself while disregarding others. I was raised to respect others and their opinions, and feel the world needs a song like this.

It was written by Ashley & Shannon Campbell (daughter & son of legendary Glenn Campbell) & Zac. His studio musicians in Nashville were top notch and contributed greatly to the overall impact of the CD..
