EXCLUSIVE: Jess Thristan Announces New Single ‘The Old Me’

Jess Thristan is an exciting UK country music talent who is currently garnering major critic and fan support thanks to her standout music. Her amazing live performances have begun to build her a solid and rapidly growing fanbase and she has worked with a number of the country scene’s most prominent figures and has also gained extensive support from the likes of Maverick Magazine and Countryline TV.

The Yorkshire born singer/songwriter penned her first song ‘The Shield’ aged just 15 years old. Later she recorded at the famous Angel Studios with a 24-piece orchestra along with covering The Beatles classic ‘From Me To You’, which went on to feature as the soundtrack to SKY TV’s Christmas campaign.

Following the release of her breakout debut album ‘This Is Home’, Jess took a step back from the music industry to take stock and refocus her personal musical direction. This break inevitably led her back to her very first musical love and she began to write country and Americana music having been heavily influenced by some of her favourite artists such as Jillian Jacqueline and Maren Morris, while keeping a firm hold on her own roots and style.

And this Friday (July 5th) we are delighted to exclusively reveal that Jess Thristan will be releasing her brand new single ‘The Old Me’. The track is a relatable slice of country songwriting that details a reflective time in the Jess Thristan’s personal life.

Speaking about the song, Jess says: “The Old Me highlights a time where I was a bit lost on my own journey and I was comparing myself to older versions of myself instead of moving forward and evolving, and that’s the story I wanted to tell with the lyrics of this song. I got the chance to work with some incredible musicians on this track which we recorded in the amazing Rocket Studios”.
