Last month our favourite adopted Brit Sarah Darling announced that she had a special project in the works titled ‘Campfire Sessions’.
The Iowa native didn’t reveal any further details or information of what fans could expect from her new venture and kept her loyal and growing fanbase guessing until today (Saturday, October 5th).
Following her 37th birthday celebrations yesterday, Darling took to social media to thank her followers for their gushing wishes they sent the singer/songwriter on her special day and also surprised us all by revealing that the ‘Campfire Sessions’ project is in fact a new record.
The news comes just four months after her ‘Wonderland’ LP dropped, this album topped the UK Country Top 20 Album Chart, giving the Nashville based artist her very first and very much deserved number 1 to celebrate.
The album crossed over into pop sensibilities and ethereal vibes whilst maintaining strong Country roots throughout. Recorded, produced and written across the UK it also has a very British production giving listeners a fresh twist on the Nashville sound we’re used to hearing across the radio.
The new EP is now available to pre-save on Spotify ahead of its Friday, October 18th release and will include the track ‘Leave The Pieces’. This is the only song title revealed so far off the eagerly anticipated tracklist.
The ‘Campfire Sessions’ record promises to be a collection of stripped back acoustic favourites from Sarah Darling as she looks to bring the laid back “singing around a Campfire” vibe to life through the collection of songs on the EP.
The project will no doubt delight fans across the globe and will make for an interesting record for the honey-toned vocalist. Acoustic records are always a major favourite amongst the country fanbase and this one looks set to be one of the best of the year.
