Shannon Hynes Releases new Single ‘Off Guard’ Tomorrow!

If you’ve followed Belles and Gals for a while, you’ll know all about Shannon Hynes! Shannon is the host of our bi-monthly showcase at the Water Rats and famously hit the top spot of the iTunes country chart with each of her first two singles – ‘I’m Not Pretty’ and ‘Someone to Drink With’. Now she is back with a brand new single and it’s clear that the London-based Welsh artist is taking a different approach – with big production creating a wonderful country sound.

Lyrically the track is fantastic too – ‘There I was dancing to old country songs, he caught me off guard when he came down those stairs, then I knew it, because of how I felt right then‘. The track is a good, old-fashioned break up song, with Shannon’s emotive vocals ensuring you get quickly caught up in the story.

Below you can see Shannon performing the song (the acoustic version is VERY different from the released version).
