Ross Macintyre’s ‘Still Holdin’ On’ – Out Now
Today sees the release of ‘Still Holdin’ On’, the new single from Ross Macintyre. This is Ross’s first release since in 2020 and is the follow up to ‘Nashville’ last year which hit the heights of number 3 in the UK iTunes Country Chart.
The song is excellent, where the focus is very much on Ross’s strong vocals with a gentle piano background at the start – the song building and adding layers to the instrumentation, including the addition of a gospel style choir in sections. Ross sings about not being able to let go completely of a previous relationship.
Ross Macintyre:
‘Many people have experienced relationship breakups and I think it’s OK, and very normal, to acknowledge it’s not always easy to move on. I am in a different phase in my life, therefore it’s easier for me to release this song, but in truth you’ll always remember the best times during that period with your ex partner. If you can give yourself moments to reflect on life and use those learnings to shape the future relationships you want to create, then you’re winning‘
