Harleymoon Kemp Releases Debut Single ‘Space’

Harleymoon Kemp Space Album Art

Harleymoon Kemp, daughter of Martin Kemp (Spandau Ballet) and Shirlie Holliman (Wham!) as well as the sister of Capital FM DJ Roman Kemp, has today (1st July 2020) released her debut single ‘Space’.

The debut release gained it’s exclusive first play on the UK’s Chris Country Radio on the 30th June.  The track is sonically built with a powerful country grounding, which has been enhanced by the classic singer-songwriter acoustic sound, and is assisted by the incredible production from Fred Abbott (Noah and the Whale). Kemp’s sound has developed as a result of her honing her craft in London, Nashville and L.A. blending the unique sound and tones of the music industries in each locale. This sound is further enhanced by artistic influences such as Norah Jones, John Mayer and Country-Pop crossover star Maren Morris.

The track is an extraordinary look at what is to come for the future star. Kemp states that more is to come for fans of the new track but to prepare for emotive tracks led by heartbreak. “I wanted a romantic song as the first release before we get into the heartbreak stuff… the pain is coming next! ‘Space’ was a song that felt like candlelight, being in a sacred space, in a love that was otherworldly.”

Kemp’s debut may be the first of her own musical output but she is no stranger to the industry. She has been responsible for penning multiple tracks including a Top 10 eastern European hit ‘Keep It To Myself’ for Jazzu and DJ Jovanni as well as numerous follow up tracks. Alongside this, Kemp has commissioned tracks for ITV show ‘Sunday Best’ and a VW commercial. Most impressive on her resume is a being responsible for penning a viral track which has reached 1 billion shares on the growing social media platform TikTok. Her debut release is bound to see great success should her previous achievements be an indicator of her ever evolving career.
