Zoee – Take Me Away

Zoee is back with an enchanting new single ‘Take Me Away’, about the process of finding yourself and moving forward with all of life’s lessons. She says ‘It’s one of those songs that no matter what mood you’re in, as soon as you start playing it, your energy shifts. It’s such an uplifting song and I’m excited to be able to bring that kind of energy to everyone. The world seems to be a bit of a madhouse lately and I think we all need a balance-shift right about now.’ We couldn’t agree more. Covid hasn’t stopped this girl in any sense, bringing her charm, smiles and laughter to her fans throughout this crazy year so far.

This track, to me at least, really encompasses everything we believe in here at Belles & Gals. Empowering women, making those sometimes tough decisions to move you forward, pushing aside negativity (because lets be honest there’s enough of that in the world right now) and just doing you.

There’s a really special balance in this track with Zoee’s striking vocals, the compelling piano intro, a wonderful mix of acoustic and electric guitar and those drums really pushing the track forward giving it that uplifting summer vibe, which we’re all clinging onto as the weather transitions.

There’s almost a folky twist within this track, reminiscent of ‘Galway Girl’, alongside wonderful group vocals evocative of outback Australia. I love how Zoee is so proud of her heritage and also of her current Celtic space as she incorporates the best of it all to create a truly unique style unlike anything else out there right now. Her individuality shines through and she’s unapologetic in everything she does. Her sound really clenches the listeners attention and you can’t help but listen again and again. With her free spirit and infectious energy this track is set to do incredibly well.
