Backwoods Creek Release Brilliant New Video for ‘Morphine’

Backwoods Creek have long been one of our favourite bands here at Belles and Gals, brilliantly headlining one of our live events in Essex back in the pre-Covid 19 days. The five band members seem to have a brilliant knack of putting together incredible videos, and in ‘Morphine’, they might just have released their best yet.

First, lets talk about the track itself. The song has a real alt-country vibe to it, with a fantastic energy. If you’ve seen the ban live, you’ll know all about their stage performance, and this energy comes across in spades throughout the track.

The video is just fantastic. Well I say fantastic, if you don’t particularly care about the wellbeing of the five- they are invariably trapped in pictures on the wall, or find their heads within glass jars throughout the almost four minutes of the song. It’s one of those videos you simply have to watch to the very end – completely engaging throughout, as you never know what’s coming next.
