Following a four-year break from public appearances, the celebrated Oscar-winning actress, aged 61, made a notable comeback at CinemaCon 2026. She was there alongside Nicole Kidman to unveil their much-anticipated sequel, “Practical Magic 2.”
For this special event, Bullock chose a striking scarlet red blazer priced at $3,750 and coordinating wide-leg trousers for $1,390 from Gabriela Hearst’s resort 2026 line.
Dressed by stylist Ryan Hastings, Bullock paired the blazer, worn open, with a black leather bra underneath, giving a bold twist to the classic style. She completed her outfit with eye-catching Jacquie Aiche earrings valued at $12,800. These four-inch, feather-shaped accessories featured a line of diamonds down the middle, adding a dramatic flair.
On the Warner Bros. stage at the Dolby Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Bullock and Kidman engaged the audience with a humorous reference to Kidman’s well-known AMC commercial.
Opening their dialogue, Bullock questioned, “Why do we come here, Nicole?” to which Kidman responded with her iconic line from the ad: “We come to this place for magic.”
The sequel, “Practical Magic 2,” directed by Susanne Bier, follows the Owens sisters as they deal with a multigenerational curse. The film introduces Joey King and Maisie Williams as the new on-screen daughters of Bullock’s character. It is set to premiere in theaters on September 18.
Bullock’s appearance at CinemaCon was not her only headline-making activity this week. The star of “Miss Congeniality” also made her debut on Instagram on Tuesday, quickly amassing over 4 million followers. Her initial post, captioned “Midnight somewhere…,” humorously showed her conjuring a margarita, nodding to a favorite scene from the original “Practical Magic” movie. Her second post was affectionately titled “Owens sisters .”
Among the first to greet her on the social platform was Jennifer Aniston, who playfully posted on her Instagram Story, “It sucks! You’re gonna love it…” echoing a memorable line from “Friends.”
