As one Anne Rice novel concludes, another begins.
He thought he was rescuing a sheep—but it turned out to be something else
This bizarre French customer habit is driving shop owners crazy
This is especially true for “Interview with the Vampire,” a popular series on AMC and AMC+, which draws inspiration from Rice’s legendary gothic horror novels. Today, June 7, marks the debut of its third season, now rebranded as “The Vampire Lestat,” based on the second installment of Rice’s “Vampire Chronicles.”
Having explored the first book over two seasons, the third season introduces a fresh perspective and soundtrack. Now set in contemporary times, it features Lestat (played by Sam Reid) who takes center stage as the lead singer of a rock group aptly named The Vampire Lestat.
The group’s tour is steeped in hedonism, providing Lestat a platform to correct public misconceptions following the publication of his story by Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian) about Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson), which spanned the series’ first two seasons.
To enhance the authenticity of Lestat’s rock star persona, Sam Reid and series composer Daniel Hart have created original music for the show.
