Former Nickelodeon star Elizabeth Gillies was nearly unrecognizable after transforming herself into Luke from the cult-favorite Disney film Halloweentown to mark this year’s Halloween.

Gillies posted photos to her Instagram showcasing the costume, revealing how she altered her appearance with prosthetic pieces that recreated the character’s distinctive bulbous nose and skin blemishes.

The 33-year-old Victorious alum finished the ensemble with a crushed-red velvet cape, elf-style prosthetic ears, and a colorful checkered shirt to complete the look.
“I’m something of a big cheese around here,” Gillies quipped in the caption, riffing on one of Luke’s memorable lines.
In Halloweentown, the role of Luke — originally played by Philip Van Dyke — involves a pact with the villain Kalabar that lets him shift from a goblin into a seemingly handsome human by donning a disguise.
Although Luke is planted as the antagonist’s informant, he eventually sides with the hero, Marnie, to help protect Halloweentown.
The original movie debuted in 1998 and spawned three sequels; a fifth installment is reportedly in development.
The resemblance was so strong that fans were stunned by Gillies’ makeover.
“No one has ever been this iconic,” one Instagram follower wrote.
Another added, “This is unbelievable.”
“THIS IS THE BEST COSTUME EVER,” another fan exclaimed.
One more commenter admitted, “My brain actually can’t piece together that this is you.”
This isn’t the first time Gillies has received praise for an elaborate Halloween look.
In 2023 she and close friend Ariana Grande paid tribute to the 1995 erotic drama Showgirls, with Grande portraying Nomi and Gillies taking on Cristal.
The pair—who go way back to their Victorious days—recreated scenes from the film and shared the playful re-enactments on Instagram.
In 2022, the duo channeled characters from the 2000 mockumentary Best in Show and posted their versions on social media.
Grande embodied Jennifer Coolidge’s Sherri Ann, as well as looks inspired by parts played by Linda Kash and Eugene Levy.
Gillies, meanwhile, took on characters originally portrayed by Larry Miller, Catherine O’Hara and Jane Lynch.
