Rousey provided her followers with glimpses from the hospital which included a heartfelt video of their newborn meeting their older daughter for the first time.
Expanding the Family
Married since August 2017, Rousey and Browne first became parents with the birth of their daughter La’akea in September 2021. “Welcome to this world La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō Browne,” Browne had expressed at the time of her birth, highlighting the immense love they had for their new arrival. Rousey also shared touching photos of La’akea’s hand, proudly announcing her full name to the world.
Last July, Rousey revealed her second pregnancy by showing off her baby bump during an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con. She humorously noted her condition by comparing it to a character in her graphic novel “Expecting the Unexpected” who was similarly four months pregnant.
“Technically I finally got to cosplay at Comicon ,” Rousey joked on Instagram after the event.
Revealing Baby’s Gender with Simplicity
Although she missed the chance to do a traditional gender reveal during the event, Rousey later disclosed in an interview with ComicBook.com that they were expecting another girl. “It’s a girl,” she happily shared. She humorously added that she wanted to avoid any extravagant gender reveal antics, saying, “I didn’t want to start a fire or anything doing a gender reveal. I don’t know how that became a thing, so I’ll just put it out there.”
Rousey and Browne have been a couple since 2015, and their relationship turned a significant corner when Browne proposed in April 2017. They exchanged vows in a picturesque ceremony in Hawaii just a few months later. Celebrating their seventh anniversary recently, Browne remarked on Instagram that “time flies when you’re having fun,” reflecting on their years together filled with love and now, growing family joy.
