Sophia Grace Brownlee Welcomes Second Child Over Holiday Season
Sophia Grace Brownlee, known for her breakout appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in 2011 alongside her cousin Rosie McClelland, celebrated the arrival of her second child on Christmas Eve.
Now 21, Brownlee shared the joyful news through Instagram on Sunday, posting adorable photos with her newborn daughter, captioned “29 | 12 | 24.”
Pregnancy Announcement and Gender Reveal
In a YouTube video released in April 2024, Brownlee excitedly revealed her second pregnancy. “I’ve been keeping this a secret for quite some time,” she shared. “Being someone who’s naturally anxious, I prefer to wait until I’m about 20 weeks along before announcing. And now, I’m almost there.”
A month later, she revealed the baby’s gender on Instagram with a pink cake, indicating she was expecting a girl.
Previous Childbirth and Partner’s Privacy
Brownlee has not publicly disclosed the identity of her partner, with whom she had her first child, a son named River, born via emergency C-section in February 2023.
Ellen DeGeneres humorously welcomed River to the world, recalling Brownlee and McClelland’s viral rendition of “Super Bass” by saying, “Welcome to the world, Nicki Minaj the 3rd!”
In March 2023, Brownlee shared details about River’s birth with People magazine, describing it as “surreal.” “Meeting my baby after carrying him for so long was exactly as I had imagined. I was overwhelmed with emotion; it was just crazy,” she said.
Looking Ahead to Family Life
When discussing her second pregnancy, Brownlee expressed her excitement about her children growing up together, highlighting how “sweet” the experience would be.
She also confirmed in August that she is still in a relationship with River’s father, whom she started dating when she was 16. Brownlee explained her partner’s absence from the public eye, stating, “He’s camera-shy, and not everyone wants to be in the spotlight all the time,” but reassured that he is “of course” involved in their toddler’s life.
