On Friday, the singer shared the joyful news that she and her intermittent partner Dan Tooker, whom she recently reconciled with, had a new addition to their family.
In a touching black-and-white photo shared on Instagram, King introduced her newborn with the caption, “Our family just got a little bit brighter. Welcome to the world Royal Tooker .”
A Growing Family and Rekindled Love
Elle King, the 35-year-old famed for her song “Ex’s & Oh’s,” began her relationship with tattoo artist Dan Tooker in 2019. The couple uniquely proposed to each other in 2020.
Their first child, a son named Lucky who is now 3 years old, was born in September 2021. Speculations about their relationship surfaced in April of the subsequent year when King performed wearing a jacket labeled “Single.”
Further fueling rumors, King got a tattoo on her backside two years later, honoring the men involved in raising her son.
“I always said I’d get my baby daddy’s name tattooed on my butt…so I did,” she disclosed on Instagram in April 2024, sharing that she chose the word ‘brethren.’”
Just a week before revealing her pregnancy in September 2024, King announced her reconciliation with Tooker.
Speaking to People, Rob Schneider’s daughter remarked humorously, “I’ll try anything twice.”
She expressed that everything they needed was right with them, emphasizing, “We have everything that both of us have ever wanted right here. Let’s put our weapons down. Come on. This is it. This is life. It doesn’t get better than this.” Tooker was also involved in the reveal of King’s second pregnancy.
Family Dynamics and Previous Relationships
As King awaited the arrival of their second son, she used the term “Doubling down” in an Instagram post to hint at the baby’s gender.
Prior to her relationship with Tooker, King was married to Andrew “Fergie” Ferguson. The couple hurriedly married in February 2016 after meeting just three weeks earlier. However, their relationship was rocky, experiencing a breakup in 2017, a brief reconciliation, and finally ending for good the following year.
