Taylor Swift Excludes Ellen DeGeneres from Wedding Despite 19 Show Appearances!

This past week showcased some glaring Emmy omissions.

As the Emmy nominations were announced, fans of Taylor Sheridan‘s “The Madison,” “Landman,” and “Tulsa King” expressed their disappointment as these shows received minimal recognition, with “Tulsa King” securing only a stunt nomination. Similarly, the final season of “Stranger Things” was unexpectedly left out of the best drama category.

However, perhaps the most talked-about oversight was Taylor Swift not inviting Ellen DeGeneres to her wedding to Travis Kelce, despite having over a thousand VIP guests. Swift’s decision is puzzling given their history, as it’s hard to argue that they were mere acquaintances.

The superstar singer has been a frequent visitor on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” appearing 19 times from 2008 to 2021, engaging in everything from sit-down interviews and musical performances to pre-recorded sketches.

Swift’s debut on the show was on November 11, 2008, to promote her album “Fearless.” One notable visit was in 2013, when Swift was visibly upset as DeGeneres playfully mocked her for her well-known romantic entanglements.

Swift’s last appearance was in 2021 via a pre-recorded segment, as in-person interviews were still affected by the ongoing Covid pandemic.

DeGeneres was such a fan of Swift that her team compiled a video montage titled “Every Taylor Swift Appearance on the ‘Ellen’ Show, Uninterrupted,” which is available on the show’s YouTube channel.

An insider from the show shared that they were not shocked by Swift’s decision not to invite DeGeneres. “She was a regular and favorite guest, but it was always just a talk show relationship,” the source explained. “They had a lot of fun on-air, but it never evolved into a personal friendship beyond their professional interactions.”
