When Gissell arrived on the scene, she was greeted by Rocket’s immediate response. The cat, battered and weary, saw her from a distance and ran toward her, rubbing his head affectionately against her hand—a clear sign that he trusted her and felt relief in her presence. Gissell didn’t hesitate for a moment; she knew this was a moment to act.
The first stop for Rocket was the veterinarian’s office, where he received essential care.
