Amanda Batula Embraces a Fresh Start

Viewers of the reality series might recall Batula for her penchant for relaxation, often seen lounging with friends Ciara Miller and Paige DeSorbo. Together, they were affectionately dubbed “The Bedbugs.” DeSorbo even went on to start a sleepwear brand inspired by their nickname after her departure from the Bravo series.
Following her recent split from her husband and fellow cast member Kyle Cooke, Batula has relocated to a new apartment. She’s not just changing her living situation—she’s revamping her lifestyle, partnering with LoveSac for a campaign that transitions her from a bedbug to a self-professed couch enthusiast.
“Being in love with both the couch and the bed, I pretty much live to be lying down. Collaborating with a company that focuses on couches just makes sense,” Batula shared with Page Six Style during the campaign shoot, clad in elegant white silk from DeSorbo’s Daphne collection.
She humorously added, “Kyle always used to moan about the amount of time I spent lounging around. So why not invest in a couch that’s going to last a lifetime?”
Interior Design Overhaul
Batula described her previous decorating style as “millennial beige.”
“It was all about white, clean, sharp lines,” she explained, but admitted her old white couch had turned “disgusting and dirty” due to her two dogs.
Now, she’s shifting towards a palette of neutrals with vibrant accents, like LoveSac’s blush pink color. “I’m also bringing more color into my place with art and different furniture pieces,” she continued.
One standout piece in her new decor is a Jonathan Adler pillow shaped like a Prozac pill, a cheeky reference to her openly discussed battle with depression on the Bravo series. She considers it an “incredible gift.”
“That’s the theme—fun, silly, light, living in color,” she stated. “I just want to create an environment filled with things that make me feel happy, cozy, and warm.”
New Beginnings and Future Projects
Batula’s fresh start includes a role in the upcoming “Summer House” spinoff titled “In the City,” which will feature both her and Cooke, alongside Lindsay Hubbard and what she describes as their “real true friends.”
“Kyle and I are in a good place right now, focusing on healing and self-improvement,” she revealed, appreciating the constant support from friend Ciara Miller during this transitional phase.
“I’m really enjoying this journey, feeling better each day, and that’s been a wonderful experience,” she concluded.
