As we eagerly await Season 35 of “Dancing with the Stars,” there’s an exciting addition to the show’s lineup this year.
Tonight, July 13, marks the premiere of “Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro.” This new spin-off will showcase 12 dancers competing to join the main show as a professional dancer, featuring weekly tasks and eliminations.
The show is hosted by Robert Irwin, the mirrorball champion of Season 34, with three-time winner Mark Ballas as part of the judging panel.

Meanwhile, “Dancing with the Stars” Season 35 is not far off, with ABC confirming its debut in the fall of 2026. The season will feature celebrities like Ciara Miller from “Summer House,” Maura Higgins from “Love Island” and “Traitors,” Jackson Olson, second baseman for the Savannah Bananas, and Guillermo Rodriguez from “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

Mark Ballas, a veteran “Dancing with the Stars” pro and three-time winner, will serve as a primary judge, alongside his mother, Shirley Ballas.
Shirley has been the head judge on the UK’s “Strictly Come Dancing” since 2017. Each week, the show will feature a guest judge from the “Dancing with the Stars” roster, starting with Derek Hough in week one and Brandon Armstrong in week two.
