The photo session took place on a boat on the River Thames in London, captured by Aidan Zamiri, who is not only a renowned photographer but also directed Charli in the A24 mockumentary, “The Moment.”
The images feature Charli in a variety of provocative poses: leaning on a bar in a thong and a sheer teddy, sprawled on a bed, and climbing a headboard, all set against the dramatic backdrop of London’s skyline.
Iconic Scenes and Candid Shots
In one striking photo, Charli positions her leather-gloved hands over her chest with the famous Big Ben looming in the background. In another, she complements her white lingerie with an overcoat and remarks, “The tourists were into it,” highlighting the public nature of the shoot.
During her interview, Charli discussed her experience with Playboy and her involvement in “The Moment,” alongside Kylie Jenner, who is also a friend and Playboy alumna.
“I’ve been eager to work with Playboy for some time,” Charli expressed, “It’s such an iconic publication.” She continued, “I adore the logo, the lingerie, the celebration of female bodies, and unapologetic sexiness.”
Her affinity for the brand extends into her music, with her latest album “Music, Fashion, Film” featuring a track titled “Playboy Bunny.”
Defining Sexy Through Authenticity
Charli shared her philosophy on what makes a photograph truly sexy: “To me, a sexy photo captures someone’s true essence. It’s not necessarily perfect. It can be raw, messy, maybe even a bit vulnerable at times,” she explained, “I think a sexy photo reveals the truth.”
Earlier in the year, on the show “Feeding Starving Celebrities,” Charli hinted at a potential shift in her career ambitions. When queried about her interest in acting, she enthusiastically responded, “Yes, are you kidding? I want to quit music, babe, and act.”
She also praised her friend Kylie Jenner for her comedic talent and natural improvisation during their film project, saying, “You were just so funny, and your improv was effortless. I had fun shooting with you.”
