This bizarre French customer habit is driving shop owners crazy
Packed with protein and significantly lighter than store-bought versions, this nutrition expert shares her quick pizza recipe. It’s lower in calories but doesn’t skimp on deliciousness!
Tonight, you’re short on both time and motivation to cook. Wandering the grocery store aisles driven by hunger, you’re tempted by the easiest option: grabbing a frozen pizza. Instead of settling for a mediocre, unhealthy store-bought pizza, dietitian-nutritionist Zoé Vrignaud offers a fantastic alternative: her quick homemade pizza. She whips up a dough that requires no rising time. Unlike supermarket versions, which often contain high levels of salt, fat, and additives, her recipe uses only healthy ingredients: “It’s a highly protein-packed base with just two ingredients,” she explains. It’s lighter than traditional pizza dough, yet filling and, most importantly, tasty!
When you’re lacking time and creativity, this is the perfect recipe: it’s almost as quick as heating up a premade pizza! There’s no need to knead or let the dough rise. Simply place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth, suggests Zoé Vrignaud, also known as @zoeladiet on Instagram. To make her “express pizza,” the dietitian simply blends two eggs with 200 grams of cottage cheese, both protein-rich ingredients. She then pours the mixture onto a lined baking sheet and bakes it for 25/30 minutes at 350°F. The result is a light and fluffy crust that’s two to three times less caloric than a typical commercial version.
Next, just top it with whatever ingredients you like: in her video, @zoeladiet starts by spreading a thin layer of pesto, adds a few fresh basil leaves, some thinly sliced prosciutto, the rest of the cottage cheese, and sprinkles it all with pine nuts for some crunch. And there you have it! You can enjoy your meal without any guilt. Sure, it might not be as indulgent as a great pizza from an Italian restaurant, but it’s a healthy, quick, and inexpensive alternative to the frozen version!
With this recipe, you no longer have to choose between convenience and health. In less than 30 minutes, you can enjoy a simple, nourishing homemade pizza that’s far more appealing than any industrial version. It’s the perfect solution for lazy evenings when you still want to eat well without spending the night in the kitchen.
