Maura Higgins has left fans in suspense over her charming interactions with Rob Rausch, a fellow contestant on “Traitors.” The audience, along with social media followers and fellow participants, are eagerly urging the duo to confirm their relationship status.

A former contestant on “Love Island UK,” Higgins is now part of the latest season of Peacock’s popular reality series, where she has demonstrated palpable chemistry with Rausch, a notable personality from “Love Island USA” who is also competing as a Traitor in the Scottish castle setting.
Their witty exchanges and apparent mutual respect have certainly caught the attention of their fellow contestants.
However, Higgins maintains that discussions of a romantic nature haven’t really been on their radar.
“We don’t chat about that,” she stated during an interview with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea,” which also featured co-stars Dorinda Medley, Monet X Change, Mark Ballas, and Kristen Kish, when discussing the possibility of dating Rausch.
Despite this, their close bond hasn’t stopped others from fervently hoping they become a couple. Higgins remarked that such comments were a constant during the shoot.
“This is all me and Rob had to endure at the castle — from everyone!” she exclaimed. “They kept saying, ‘You two look amazing together.’”
One of their biggest supporters is none other than Medley. The former star of “Real Housewives of New York City,” age 62, was outspoken about her desires for Higgins, 35, and Rausch, 27, suggesting they consider more than just a casual fling.
“I think they must procreate,” Medley humorously suggested. “They would have stunning children: intelligent, attractive, athletic. To me, it seems almost like a duty to humanity.”
She elaborated with her characteristic zest, “If the world were to end, these are the genes we’d want preserved for future generations.”
Within the confines of the castle, Higgins’ allegiance to Rausch sparked even more rumors. She believed he was one of the Faithfuls and defended him passionately whenever his name was mentioned.
“Whenever someone brought up Rob’s name, how did I react? I was defensive,” Higgins shared. “Like, don’t even mention Rob’s name to me. I was always ready to protect him.”
Enthusiasm also surrounds the potential of their connection beyond the game, especially considering both stars originated from “Love Island.” When asked which contestant she’d invite to the franchise’s famous Hideaway, Higgins didn’t skip a beat.

“Probably just me and Rob — since we’re both from ‘Love Island’!” she admitted, laughing.
As to whether their on-screen chemistry could evolve into a real-world romance? Higgins remains noncommittal.
“We’ll see, we’ll see. We don’t know yet,” she hinted. “The show isn’t over … To be continued.”
Whether it’s genuine romance, strategic gameplay, or simply expert-level flirting, it’s clear: the viewers — including an especially enthusiastic “Housewife” — are all in on the saga of Maura and Rob.
“The Traitors” is now streaming on Peacock.
