Mel C Wears Victoria Beckham’s ‘Borrowed’ Outfit at Star-Studded Wedding!

Melanie Chisholm’s bridal attire boasted a touch of Posh glamour.

At 52, the Spice Girls star married model Chris Dingwall, wearing a bespoke dress crafted by none other than her former groupmate, Victoria Beckham.

The celebration took place at a friend’s scenic lakeside estate in Cumbria, UK. This was the couple’s second ceremony, having officially tied the knot earlier in Dingwall’s homeland of Australia, where Chisholm wore a dress directly from Beckham’s personal wardrobe.

“Over dinner one evening, I asked Melanie what her plans were,” Beckham shared with British Vogue. “She nonchalantly mentioned she was headed to Australia in two days to get married!”

Chisholm had picked a lace-trimmed cami dress from the label but faced timing issues with alterations. Beckham, also 52, stepped in to offer her own version of the dress, previously worn to EE72 editor Edward Enninful’s wedding in February 2022. This full-length ivory garment features a delicate V neckline, a dipped back, thin straps, and lace details draping over the chest and along one side, echoing the minimalistic yet feminine aesthetic of the ’90s—a decade Chisholm helped stylize.

Reflecting on Beckham’s fashion, Chisholm expressed, “Her designs carry a distinct simplicity, particularly the slip dresses. They are notably feminine yet effortlessly comfortable and very much my style.”

For the festivities in the UK, Beckham tailored the dress further, incorporating custom-tinted lace manually sewn onto the bodice and skirt, and adding a train as per the suggestion of Chisholm’s 17-year-old daughter, Scarlet.

The gown elegantly highlighted Chisholm’s toned arms and shoulders.

The event also doubled as a mini Spice Girls reunion with Mel B, Emma Bunton, and Geri Halliwell-Horner in attendance. Beckham was unable to attend but was represented through her design. Chisholm accessorized with the label’s champagne satin Harlow heels and a Dorian clutch, holding a casual arrangement of wildflowers. The groom opted for a Zegna suit.

Proving that some things never change, Chisholm slipped into wide-leg champagne trousers and a white sports bra for the reception.

Chisholm and Dingwall first connected on the dating app Raya, leading to their initial date in Australia in November 2023, with Dingwall popping the question in Mallorca the following July.
