Possess a Segment of Gwyneth Paltrow’s Esteemed Collection

The opportunity to acquire a slice of Gwyneth Paltrow’s personal collection is on the horizon.

The renowned actress is auctioning off a selection of her most memorable wardrobe pieces, autographed photos, furniture, and even Coldplay merchandise.

The auction, orchestrated by the prestigious Julien’s Auctions, is scheduled to commence on March 24. However, enthusiasts can already explore over 500 items available in the collection named “Bold Luxury: Gwyneth Paltrow Lexicon of Style & The Archival Edit.” A portion of the auction proceeds will be donated to the World Central Kitchen after the auction concludes.

The items up for grabs include classic Hermès Birkins, vintage designer gowns, and various products from her Goop brand, along with her famous red carpet ensembles that have dazzled fans over the years.

Among the standout pieces is the pink Ralph & Russo one-shoulder gown that Paltrow donned at the 2015 Oscars.

Iconic Dresses and Personal Memorabilia

Also available is the ombré Versace dress from the 2010 Country Music Awards and a playful 2003 Versace color-block minidress, reminiscent of a similar outfit in “13 Going on 30.”

While she retains her iconic Ralph Lauren dress from the 1999 Academy Awards in her personal collection, the original sketches by the designer are among the items she is parting with.

Additionally, the auction includes personal family mementos.

Lot #84 features a Jennifer Myer pendant necklace adorned with the initials A, C, and M, symbolizing her family with Chris Martin and their children Apple and Moses, from whom she famously “consciously uncoupled.”

In line with this, bidders will also find vintage Coldplay merchandise, including earmuffs and promotional photos of Chris Martin.

Paltrow’s Motivation for the Auction

In an interview with Vogue Magazine, Paltrow shared that the motivation to sell her items stemmed from a storage unit fire and the sale of her Los Angeles residence, expressing a desire for a “huge garage sale” to pass these items on.

Paltrow believes in the notion that objects carry energy, finding joy in the idea of her belongings continuing to live on and gain value as they change hands.

Before the auction opened, Paltrow’s daughter Apple, an aspiring model, had the opportunity to claim any items of sentimental value. She recently told Vogue about her deep affection for her mother’s collection from her twenties, noting how she spent the previous winter break trying on various pieces and cherishing the emotional connection to the items in that closet.

Apple remarked, “It makes me emotional thinking about the things in that closet,” reflecting her deep attachment to her mother’s cherished garments.
