In his review, which gave the film 3.5 out of 4 stars, The Post and Page Six’s entertainment critic Johnny Oleksinski described it as “a much darker and mature movie,” praising Holland for his “raw and vulnerable” performance, the best in his series of “Spider-Man” films.

As of Oct. 6, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” has become the highest-grossing film ever in the United States and Canada, amassing $954 million, and it ranks third worldwide, following only “Avatar” and “Avengers: Endgame.”
