At a birthday celebration for her friend Ashley Avignone in New York City, Taylor Swift revealed the latest lavish item joining her impressive collection of designer watches.
During the event on Saturday, Swift shone brightly, showcasing a diamond-studded Panthère de Cartier watch valued at a staggering $32,200. The glamorous photos were shared by Avignone, who turned 40, on her Instagram the following Sunday.
More Than Just a Watch
The celebrated “Bejeweled” artist didn’t stop at the watch; her look was complemented by diamond-laden DeBeers earrings, which carry a price tag of $36,000 and have become a favorite of hers. She also sported a Tiffany & Co. ring priced at $2,675, previously seen during her performances.
Swift’s entire ensemble glittered spectacularly. She wore an ornate Simkhai coat costing $995, a crystal fringe Stella McCartney purse priced at $2,450, a turtleneck dress from Fleur du Mal for $475, and Christian Louboutin patent leather platform heels which set her back $1,095.
The music icon arrived at the elite Chez Margaux club in the Meatpacking District accompanied by her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. He brought festive vibes with a red waxed denim jacket and pants ensemble from Nahmias, costing $980 and $690 respectively. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end also donned a Saint Michael T-shirt, a Nahimas trucker hat for $250, Jacques Marie Mage sunglasses at $975, and black Louis Vuitton x Timberland boots, which are priced at $2,850.
A Weekend Full of Glamour
The festivities on Saturday night were just part of the couple’s busy New York City weekend. On Friday, they enjoyed a double date with producer Jack Antonoff and his wife, actress Margaret Qualley, dining at BondST restaurant.
For this outing, Swift chose a crystal-covered Stella McCartney blazer worth $5,500 and carried a glittering Versace purse that cost $3,490. Although she opted not to wear a watch that evening, this year alone she’s debuted three high-end designer timepieces.
Swift’s Year of Designer Watches
On November 10, Swift was spotted at a Chiefs versus Denver Broncos game donning a Versace skirt suit and a $54,000 Louis Vuitton gold watch. She wore this same watch again a few days later during a girls’ night out in NYC.
Although it’s rare to see Swift accessorizing with watches, they played a central theme during her “Midnights” album era. At the 2024 Grammys in February, she made headlines by wearing a custom-made vintage watch by Lorraine Schwartz fashioned into a choker necklace. That evening, she announced her 11th studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” and in June, she again caused a stir by wearing the diamond-studded watch accessory during a gathering with celebrities in London.
The Influence of a Time-Conscious Boyfriend?
While fans continue to ponder the significance of her ticking necklace, it might be that Kelce is influencing Swift’s growing interest in timepieces. The Super Bowl champion is a known aficionado of Rolex watches, having gifted an engraved piece to his close friend and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes for his birthday in October. Kelce himself owns several models from the prestigious Swiss brand.
According to an exclusive by Page Six, for Swift’s birthday on December 13, Kelce went all out, presenting her with various gifts, including engraved gold jewelry. There’s speculation that one of those gifts might have been encased in a distinctive red Cartier box.
