Todd Chrisley Seeks Pardon from President Trump

Todd Chrisley, known from “Chrisley Knows Best,” has reached out to President Trump in hopes of receiving a pardon. His attorney, Jay Surgent, disclosed to TMZ on Wednesday that both Todd, aged 55, and his spouse, Julie Chrisley, aspire to be pardoned.

Surgent explained, “The decision now lies with President Trump to assess their cases. Todd is optimistic about receiving fair consideration, believing that his trial lacked constitutional safeguards.”

Allegations of Mistreatment in Prison

Surgent additionally revealed that Todd, a staunch supporter of Trump, had a “Make America Great Again” sticker in his cell which was reportedly taken down by a guard. Todd chose not to protest the removal out of fear.

According to Surgent, Todd’s prison cell is regularly subjected to thorough searches, during which his mattress is upended, his garments are inspected, and his books are scattered.

Furthermore, Todd claims that a Pepsi was deliberately spilled on his bed as part of the harassment he faces.

Legal Troubles and Imprisonment

Since January 2023, Todd and Julie have been incarcerated in Florida, following their convictions on charges of bank fraud and tax evasion seven months prior. Julie received a seven-year sentence, whereas Todd was sentenced to twelve years.

While in prison, Todd has been in the news for his role as an administrative assistant to the Chaplain at the chapel of the Federal Prison Camp Pensacola. He was reportedly dismissed from this position for being overly sociable with other inmates, as stated by Surgent.

Family Support During Incarceration

The couple has three children, including their 27-year-old daughter Savannah Chrisley, who frequently defends her parents on her podcast, “Unlocked.”

In an episode from August 2023, Savannah praised her father’s appearance, noting how “good” he looked with graying hair, thanks to a “great prison barber.” She also expressed her support for Trump and criticized her neighbors for damaging Trump-related signage on her property.

In a defiant gesture, Savannah responded to a polite request from a neighbor to remove the Trump posters by tearing the letter apart with her teeth, as shared in an Instagram video last month.
