Nearly two decades since it last aired, “Malcolm in the Middle” is being revived.
The new series, “Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair,” consists of four episodes and is currently streaming exclusively on Hulu.
The original show centered on Malcolm, a child prodigy navigating life within his quirky family.
According to Hulu, the revival picks up with Malcolm, who has been “keeping his daughter away from his eccentric family for over ten years.” However, he finds himself pulled back into the family drama when his parents, Hal and Lois, insist he attend their 40th wedding anniversary.
Frankie Muniz returns to his role as Malcolm. He is joined by Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek, who reprise their roles as his parents, Hal and Lois. Muniz shared with Page Six that stepping back into the acting world felt “surreal” and expressed immense pride in his work on the series.
Muniz had previously left acting in 2006 to become a race car driver and is now racing full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
